Twisted Torus

After having done some experimenting with textures on knots, I decided to try experimenting with textures on other objects as well. The nice thing about having Extra Objects and Extra Curves is that you have plenty of things to choose from for interesting shapes for your geometry. I was also experimenting with a new feature in Blender that was experimental (still is? maybe?), adaptive subdivisions and true displacement.  The cool thing with displacement is that it actually changes the geometry. Adaptive subdivisions will give you more detail in your subdivisions for things closer to the camera while making things further away have less detail.
One of the first objects outside of my knots that I tried this on was the twisted torus.  At this point, I was just playing around with textures and seeing what different combinations were doing.  I wasn’t trying to get a particular look.
