Sheet bend

Need to tie two ropes that are different sizes together? Try using a sheet bend! Sailors used to use this knot to tie a rope to a bend in a sheet of the sail (hence the name).

This is the first of several knots that i began experimenting with procedural textures, playing around with mixing voronoi,  and noise textures. I was also using microdisplacement, a feature that was new and experimental with Blender at the time.  For the colors, I was using two complements, Yellow, and blue. On the background, I used a green — the color you get when you mix yellow and blue.
