Rubik’s Cube Square Knot
A few years ago, I became fascinated with Rubik’s cubes after we got one for Christmas and the kids asked me to solve it. I didn’t want to peel the stickers (i didn’t realize you could take them apart for some reason), so I looked up how to solve them, and got hooked. I’ve learned how to solve just about any cube now.
When I went to do the square knot, I thought it might be interesting to do a scrambled cube texture. Getting the tiled look was easy with the brick texture. The tricky part was figuring out the colored tiles because there was only a certain part of the result from the brick texture that was being used for the colored part. For the background, i just used a cloth texture and colored it a light blue.
