Figure 8

A figure 8 is a type of knot called a stopper knot. Like the overhand knot, you can use it in places where you need the rope to hold a certain point. The knot gets it’s name from the fact that it looks like the number 8.

I don’t quite know what I was thinking with the texture on this knot. I was probably just playing around with layering multiple voronoi at different sizes and ovrelaying a noise texture. It came off looking like a piece of green meat.  The background was playing around with mixing textures to create the pattern, but used a less saturated shade of the green to contrast against the more saturated knot.
